Automatic forwarding

Forward your bookings automatically from Gmail

Set it up once: every booking confirmation that lands in Gmail goes to FlightLog on its own, and your flights wait in your logbook, ready to add.

1

Copy your FlightLog address

In FlightLog, tap the scan button, then Email, and copy your personal address.

2

Add it as a forwarding address in Gmail

On a computer, open Gmail, click the gear icon, then See all settings, then the Forwarding and POP/IMAP tab. Click Add a forwarding address and paste your FlightLog address.

3

Confirm with the code shown in FlightLog

Gmail sends a confirmation code to your FlightLog address. FlightLog shows it on the Email screen and sends it as a notification: paste it into Gmail and click Verify.

4

Create a filter for your bookings

Paste the search below into the Gmail search bar, open the search options, click Create filter, tick Forward it to and choose your FlightLog address.

Search to paste

subject:(itinerary OR "e-ticket" OR "booking confirmation" OR "boarding pass")
  • Only emails that match the filter are forwarded. An email without a flight is simply ignored.
  • Gmail forwards new emails only. For bookings you already have, forward them by hand once.
  • To stop, delete the filter in Gmail settings.

Your privacy

We read the email only to find your flights, then delete it. Your name and booking reference are never kept.
