OpenFlights exports a CSV file.

Sign in on openflights.org
Use a browser on your computer or phone.

Open Settings
Settings only appears once you are signed in, so sign in first.

Scroll to Manage flights and click Backup to CSV
OpenFlights generates a CSV file of your logged flights.

Send the file to your phone and pick it in FlightLog
AirDrop, email or a cloud drive all work, then choose the file in the FlightLog import screen.
- FlightLog reads OpenFlights dates as ISO (YYYY-MM-DD, optionally with a time), a year alone, or DD.MM.YYYY. Slash dates are read in US order (MM/DD/YYYY), so a European-style 03/10/2024 becomes 10 March, not 3 October.
- Distances stored in miles are ignored and recomputed.
Import into FlightLog
1Open FlightLog and go to Settings, then Data.
2Tap Import flights, then pick your file.
3Review the detected flights and confirm. Duplicates are flagged, nothing is imported twice.
Your file stays on your device
FlightLog reads the file locally on your phone. The file itself is never uploaded anywhere.
